Cartridges may sometimes be defective even if they are bought new from the store. Try replacing the cartridges. If you are using counterfeit cartridges, you should try using original ones and if you are using original ones, you should try counterfeit ones. This decision depends on system to system.

Furthermore, HP has introduced Regionalization to prevent counterfeit cartridges from making way to their printers. So in this case, even if you are using a genuine cartridge, you should make sure it is made for your region.

The Printer May Need To Restart

Sometimes printers need a little kick to start working again. Although it is on and connected properly, it may not print anything if you dont restart it. You can do it by unplugging the printer from the power outlet and then plugging it back in. You may also need to restart your printer. Once the printer is plugged in, turn it on and try printing again.

Why Is My Printer Not Printing Even When The Ink Is Full

How to Fix HP printer not printing color after windows 10 update

The first thing to check is to see if your printer is all correctly plugged in. Some loose wires and cables might interfere with the printing process even when the ink is full. So, make sure the connection is reliable.

If the ink is all full and ready to go, but your printer is still not printing, there might be other issues with the software or your computer. If you havent correctly placed the ink cartridges, your printer will not print properly. This is a common problem if you are new to using printers.

Generally, most printers have a lid at the top that you can lift and find the ink cartridges. Check if the cartridges fit appropriately into the slot.

Its also important to notice if the ink cartridges belong to the correct color family. For e.g., you need to place the color ink cartridge on the left side, and the black one must go to the right side of the slot.

Finally, if you hear the cartridge door make a clicking sound when you close it, its placed correctly.

Why Is My Hp Printer Printing Blank Pages When It Has Ink

Your HP printer doesnt need to be working if it has ink. It may give problems even if the ink is present in the cartilage. In such cases, check if the vent of the cartridges is blocked. If so, you need to clean up the clogged portion on the vent of the cartridges. Snap the cartridges properly into their slot. Ensure that you have removed the tape of the vent if youre using a new cartridge. Unless the tape is removed, the printer may not be able to print on any papers.

Theres a good chance you arent familiar with the calibration process at all. If you are, you probably dont know that cartridges should be re-calibrated every single time a new one is installed. Its far from a HP printer setup thing: its something you have to do regularly as the printer sees use.

The calibration process is entirely software-sided and much easier than the cartridge installation itself. After youve connected the HP printer to the computer, navigate your way to the HP Photosmart Toolbox software through the search option in your Start menu. Alternatively, if you dont have that program, you can find your printer under the Printers and Faxes section, click on it and then go for Service this device. This option, however, requires you to have the printers drivers installed on the computer.

Either software should have some combination of Calibrate the device, Clean the print cartridges and Align the printer, depending on the model you have. Even if you have a new cartridge, theres no harm in going through each of the three steps to ensure full calibration, and lets hope you wont run into anything from the HP printer error code list.

There May Be A Paper Jam

Repairing an HP PhotoSmart 6525 Printer Not Printing Black Ink

Here comes a twist. Your printer will stop printing if there is a paper jam in your . If the printer shows that there is a paper jam, there are several potential causes.

First, make sure that the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray. If the paper is bent even slightly, it can quickly become a paper jam. Generally, removing the paper from the unit and aligning it better with the feeder element will fix the problem. Paper trays are designed for specific paper capacities. It may be around 100 sheets for some, but for others, it can hold a perfect ream.

Check the printer user manual for the recommended paper capacity. Your device may immediately display a paper jam warning when the paper tray is full.

Also, ensure that the printer menus paper or media type settings match the current print job. The printer contains different paper settings, including card stock, photo paper, and presentation paper. Thick paper can cause a paper jam if the setting is disabled, and you can quickly change the paper type to fix the jam message immediately.

The feed roller is a roller that removes paper from the tray and feeds it to the printer. These parts are known to clog after repeated use and may need to be replaced. There is probably a mechanical problem if the printer reports a paper jam and it doesnt. However, do not immediately destroy the printer in the field.

    Final Thoughts

The first two things to do whenever there is a printer fault is to restock the ink, toner and other essentials, then check if your printer connection is okay.
