    The instructions to setup the Scan to Email service for my printer using the EWS require SMTP settings. Quote

    The SMTP server settings for the outgoing e-mail address are needed to enable the printer to e-mail messages.”

    As I use Microsoft Exchange and Outlook to handle my email I don’t have any SMTP settings. How can I setup the printer to email a scan? I know I can do this from the PC using the software but I would like to be able to do it from the printer control panel when I am handling the documents to be scanned and emailed.

    PLEASE HELP! I did everything that other forum posts suggest and nothing seems to work.

    Error: While scanning to email from MFP M477fdn all in one laser printer I get the following error:

    cannot resolve the smtp server. check the smtp and dns server settings with your system administrator or internet service provider.
