Registering A Printer To Google Cloud Print

To use the service, you need a Google account. If you do not have a Google account, you need to create one first.

  • Load paper in the printer.

  • Check the printer’s IP address.

    You can check the IP address by printing a network connection report.

    Note:

    If you want to know IPv6 information, print the network status sheet.

  • Run a Web browser from a computer or smart device, and then enter the printer’s IP address.

    Format:

    IPv4: http://the printer’s IP address/

    IPv6: http:///

    Examples:

    IPv6: http:///

    Note:

  • When accessing Web Config via HTTPS, a warning message will appear in the browser since a self-signed certificate, stored in the printer, is used.

  • Using the smart device, you can also run Web Config from the maintenance screen of Epson iPrint.

  • The following pages are example. For details, see User’s Guide or Administrator’s Guide for your product.

  • When you cannot click or tap Firmware Update, click Administrator Login and then enter the password first.

  • A confirmation screen is displayed.

  • Sign in to Google using your account.

  • When registration is complete, an information sheet is printed from the printer you registered. You can now use the Google Cloud Print service.

    To use this service, select the printing menu from a Google Cloud Print compatible application.

    Install The Universal Print Connector

    Installing the connector is a very easy task.

  • Install the connector. Installation will take less than a minute.
  • Launch the connector and login with your administrator that hasthe Printer Administrator or Global Administrator role. Be sure to have the Universal Print license applied to this user.
  • Enter a name for your connector. This name will show up in your Azure Portal and cannot be changed.

    I have an HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw. I have ePrint enabled, I have registered the printer email address on hpconnected.com, and have set the access to “Open to Anyone”.

    When I try to connect the printer for the first time with Google Cloud Print at I get the message “Could not get printer information from HP”.

    I have searched the support forums and most people that have had this problem had already been connected at one point. I can’t get it to register for the first time.

    I can see the printer email address just fine at and everything looks good. I am also able to print to the printer from my Google Drive using the HP smart app. However, I really need to get the printer connected with Google Cloud Print. What am I missing?

    I was able to get around this issue. I think it was a combination of user error and the site not recognizing I was already signed into my Google account.

    I had to do the setup on my iPhone of all things. I noticed that when I went to the URL in Safari, it was redirecting back and forth in an infinite loop beacause I wasn’t signed into Google. I signed into Google in Safari and then went to the URL. I was then able to register the HP printer on Google Cloud Print.

    For some reason, the site not use my account from my Chromebook, my laptop, or my desktop.

    Bizarre solution, but it’s working now.
