Use A Barcode Generator
SKUs and QR codes are barcodes that do not need to be standardized as long as they are used internally. Barcode-generating apps are most convenient for creating these two ciphers. These programs use Code 39, Code 128, QR code, etc. to make thousands of different barcodes automatically, accurately, and fast.
Besides efficiency, offline barcode generators provide users some privacy, as when a top-secret product or formula needs to be encrypted. Free online software is also available, but the most reliable barcode generators cost a little money.

TOP 5 Common issues with zebra thermal printers and how to fix
During my 20 years of troubleshooting zebra printers, I have found that the same problems arise over and over again. These issues carry through to all thermal printer models in the zebra family. I am going to walk through some quick Zebra troubleshooting tips and, hopefully, save you some time and frustration when you find that your printer isnt performing like it should.
BEFORE ANYTHING, CLEAN THE PRINTER
RUN A PAUSE TEST PRINT
Right after Im done cleaning, Ill run a pause test print. This sends a test label to the printer and isolates the printing function from the software running a normal print job. To do this: turn the printer off, hold in the pause button, and turn the printer back on. Keep the pause button pressed until all the lights flash once. This will load 9999 test print labels into the printer. Release pause and you are ready for troubleshooting. Pause test is the best way to quickly determine if the printer is functioning properly. It also prints across the entire capable width of the printer which will help you better fine tune your adjustments.

WRONG LABEL RIBBON COMBINATION

Making Qr Code Labels Using Word
The following applies to Word versions created from 2013 onwards.
1. Create a new Word file.
2. Make a two-column table similar to the one you made for creating QR codes on Excel. Getting the QR4Office add-in involves pretty much the same steps.
3. After constructing your Word table, at the top panel to make your labels next.
4. to make the Envelopes and Labels menu appear.
5. On the menu, click the Label panel on the right. Set Product number to 30 Per Page then click OK. Click New Document when youre back on the Envelopes and Labels window. You now have an editable Word label template.
6. Copy your label information into the template and center the text. Resize the text and images as needed.
7. Save both files. You may print your labels at this point.
For older Word versions, you may generate your QR codes using online barcode generators.
The databases created using Word have to be expanded every time the stocks are updated. You will need to make new columns each time, unlike in a spreadsheet like Excel, where you only have to assign pre-existing columns to new information.

Printing Using The Zebra Print Language Zpl From Net
Ive seen a lot of people setup a report in SSRS to print a barcode label to a Zebra printer. Not only is this a very inefficient way of printing barcode labels to a zebra printer but you also normally need to purchase a barcode font package for this purpose as well. Why is this not the best way to print a barcode label? Well, because when you print from SSRS an image is generated of the print job and then sent to the printer as an image. If you just want to print a label here and there and dont mind this slow technique, then have at it. But, if you are printing many labels and need the high speed printing that those label printers can provide, then youre going to have to use ZPL. Im not going to give you a class on writing ZPL but I will show you how you can generate a simple ZPL command file using the free ZebaDesigner label package from Zebra and then set that label up as a template that you can then use from code and get high performance printing from that template.
Zebra Designer will come on your install CD for your printer. The free version will allow you to design and print labels but will not connect to a database or excel file, etc. but thats ok, were programmers and we can make that happen in our code. We just need a nice label layout.

Thank you in advance.
Did you find any solution for this? I am also facing the same problem.
Oddly just googling zebra barcode printer lead me to:
I wonder what would happen if the proper drivers were installed and the manual was read?
Having written a lot of code for the physical devices associated with inventory management, among which I can count innumerable versions of Zebra printers, I seem to recall receiving a CD with each printer that detailed how to program same.
No matter it would appear that your printer lacked same.
Perhaps going to http://www.zebra.com/id/zebra/na/en/index/drivers_downloads.html and entering your printer model on the right-hand drop down might be of use?
a) Load windows print driver from Zebra for your model this is the only secret to making it all workb) Load your barcode font to windowsIn VB setup your printer Use printer object to open the printer Set scalemode For Barcode printinga) Set a font object b) Set barcode font c) Set barcode font size d) Prn.print “This is in barcode”e) Close the current document

Drive Your Zebra Printer With Netsuite
With this solution, the great news is that no proprietary software is needed to have NetSuite drive great-looking and functional barcode and graphical label output. We were able to migrate all the labels used in the enLabel system and instead dynamically drive them using NetSuite. Not only did we save our client $50,000 USD a year, but it also became much faster and easier for the staff to produce outputs because of the dynamic nature of the information.

How To Print Zpl Files Directly To A Zebra Printer Using Generic Windows Text Printer
This article describes how to install a generic in order to send files containing ZPL commands directly to the thermal label printer.
If your labels, barcodes, or packing slips are in plain text format, you can “raw print” them by sending ZPL code directly to your label printer.
Installing the Generic Text Printer Driver for the Zebra or similar type of label printer will allow you to directly from Notepad. This print driver supports all ASCII characters and most characters of other character sets, so you will be able to send text files like ZPL, TXT, or PRN containing the code. There will be no modification or file conversion to any other format in the middle of the printing process.

How To Use Zebra Designer To Print Barcodes In Bulk
You can use Zebra Designer Professional to bulk print labels easily.
First, you need a CSV of asset information from Reftab. You can get this by running a report and exporting a CSV.
Next, open ZebraDesigner, make a new label, go to Data tab and click Text File.
Select the report you exported earlier.
Make sure the Data Structure is delimited and select First row contains field names.
Make sure delimiter is comma and text qualifier is .
Select the fields you wish to print to your label. For this example we will just use Asset #, Title, and Location.
The wizard will add these fields to your label automatically.
On the left side add a barcode. After you do that, on the right side, change the Source, Data to Databases -> your file -> Asset #.
While still having the barcode selected, change the properties tab to Barcode and change the Barcode Type to the one you wish to use. In this example we will use QR.
Re-arrange your label to your liking. Youll probably want the anchoring point on all of your objects to be one of the center points. This label is 3 wide, so all of the X positions are at 1.5.
Go to File -> print and you will see all of the generated labels. You can select which ones to print here and how many.

How To Print Labels From Word To A Zebra Printer
Zebra manufactures thermal printers that allow businesses to print high-quality receipts, labels and other documentation using common word processing programs, such as Microsoft Word. These printers also have the capability to print scannable barcodes on labels for shipping, inventory pricing or identification purposes. The printer utilizes Zebra programming language, or ZPL, to create barcodes. However, all models have the barcode commands already installed on their internal memory, so you do not need any additional barcode fonts when you use Word to print these types of labels.
Open a new Microsoft Word document.
Enter the information you want to include on the label in the “Address” text box.
Enter a barcode on the label by placing the cursor in the top-left corner of the label. Type “~C2B” followed a space and the command for the barcode you want to insert. Refer to the programming guide for your Zebra printer model for the barcode commands.
