Try A Portable Printer For More Convenient Printing
If youre not the type of person who likes to work around large printers, then compact printers might be for you.Portable printers are gaining popularity among smartphone photographers for the convenience they offer. Theyre small enough to fit in your pocket, and some of them can even print photos without ink.HP Sprocket and Canon Ivy are some of your best options if youre looking for an iPhone printer. They feature Zero Ink technology to activate the colors from a special photo paper using heat.As a result, theyre smaller than average printers since they dont need big cartridges to hold ink.You can also connect these printers wirelessly to your phone via Bluetooth. Since theyre portable and easy to use, you can bring them anywhere unlike their bulky office counterparts. The only problem is that these portable printers can only print wallet-sized photos. Thats a big setback especially if you want to print 4×5 photos or bigger. If you dont mind sharing 2.5×3.5 inch images with your friends, you should still get it.
Printing A Pic From Iphone7 Won’t Scale To 4×6 Paper
When attempting to print a PIC from my Apple 7 plus phone the printing doesn’t adjust to handle the 4×6 print paper loaded in the printer. Instead of printing the entire picture, a section of the picture is printed close up.
The Airprint app the comes with Apple only provides a paper size of “Letter”.
When loading the photo paper in the printer, I’m asked “Did you load Photo Paper, Letter?
I answer Yes.
Then I go to print from my iPhone and the above reported problem occurs.
Thank you for posting on HP Forums,
The Barachiel is at your service.
I understand you are in need of support,
I’ll be glad to help you out, however, for an accurate solution I will need more details:
Have you attempted any steps on your own before posting on the HP Forums?
When was the last time it worked without these issues?
In the meantime, please try the steps mentioned below:
AirPrint does not have the option to change the paper size. However, if your printer has a paper sensor, AirPrint automatically adjusts the print size to the detected paper. If your printer has a control panel with the option to change paper sizes, you can change the paper size and the Apple iOS device detects the new paper through AirPrint, and then scales the printout accordingly.
In this case, I’d request you to follow this link, and try the new HP Smart app, and see if you can print from the iPhone.
Let me know how that pans out.
I hope you have a good day ahead,

Snapshot printers may vary a bit in quality, but any near-dedicated photo printer should offer output quality suitable for a professional photographer’s exhibition prints. Still, you should obviously check to make sure by reading reviews or looking at print samples at a retailer. Keep in mind, too, that different people have different tastes, so choosing between two or more printers with superb, but slightly different, output may depend entirely on which one you like better.
Note that the type of paper you use can make a difference in the overall effect for a given image, so ask what papers are available for the printer. Most manufacturers offer an assortment of fine-art papers for near-dedicated photo printers. In many cases, you can also get paper-specific color profiles for a given printer so you can use it with third-party fine-art papers, as well.
Finally, two other issues fall loosely under the heading of quality: ruggedness and lifetime. Don’t expect much in the way of ruggedness for fine-art papers for exhibition, but you do need it for stacks of 4-by-6-inch snaps that you might hand out for people to look through. Photos from most printers today are reasonably waterproof and scratch-resistant, but some fare better than others.
Claimed photo lifetimes also vary, with longer lifetimes obviously preferred. As a point of reference, traditional silver halide color prints last about 20 years when exposed to air.
Tips: 46 Photo Printing:
Here are some tips that will help you print excellent images.
- Never block the power cord end of the printer as sometimes the pictures go through the printing process more than once.
- Do not panic if you see yellowish print initially as it might go through multiple printing processes.
- Always use the company-manufactured ink cartridges and compatible paper to get the perfect print.
- For continuous printing, make sure you have a stable BlueTooth connection or connect through a USB cable.

Hp Sprocket Studio 46 Budget Pick
Next up is the HP Sprocket Studio at number three. You see, while HP isnt exactly known for their photography equipment, theyre world-renowned for their printers. But what about their Sprocket Studio 4×6 photo printer?
Despite being the cheapest printer on our list, the Sprocket isnt an inferior one. On the contrary, its easy to set up, and it prints photos in very good quality, comparable to that of the Kodak Dock Plus. It also uses dye sublimation like most of the other more expensive printers on this list, so your photos should theoretically last about 100 years in an album as well.
But of course, some limitations come with a cheaper price tag, the most disappointing of which is the minimal connectivity of the Sprocket Studio. For reference, you can only connect via Bluetooth and through the app, they force you to use.
Another quirky, annoying design flaw is that when a photo is printed, you have to snap it off, which sometimes leaves a rough mark on the edge. The mark isnt excessive, but it takes from the perfectness of a printed photo.
- Pulling a photo off sometimes leaves rough marks
The HP Sprocket Studio does what youd expect it to, for the most part at least. The quality is good. Its also an easy-to-use and easy-to-setup printer, and its printing technique is good for the price. So if youre on a budget, this is your go-to.

Print 46 Photos On Hp Printer
Printing photos of any specific size on an HP printer requires some steps to follow. They are as follows:
Step 1: Loading the 4 x 6-inch photo papers into the paper tray
- Load into the input tray of the printer. If there are any plain papers in the tray, remove those. You need to load the short edge of the paper into the tray.
- The glossy or print side will be faced up or down depending upon the position of the load tray. For example, the glossy side will be faced up for Inkjet printers with a rear load tray and faced down for Inkjet printers with a front load tray. Again, for LaserJet printers with a front load tray, the print side has to be faced up.
- Once youre done with loading papers, adjust the paper width guides so that they can rest against the paper edges.
Step 2: Print the photo
Max DPI offers the best DPI setting available.
Best DPI provides better DPI than normal but not as good as max DPI.
Normal DPI suits the usual and the most photo printing.
Draft DPI is used when the ink level is low compromising the print quality.
Color option will use inks from all cartridges making a colorful print.
Black& White or Monochrome will use the black ink cartridge only which is suitable for low-quality black and white prints.
Grayscale is used to print high-quality black & white photos with a wider range of black and grey tones.
Connection Options: Wired Or Wireless
More broadly, what do you want to print from? Some dedicated snapshot printers can print from a computer over a USB connection, but most are really meant as standalone devices. Older models tend to come with Wi-Fi connectivity, and many can print directly from PictBridge-supporting cameras and memory cards, or from a USB flash drive. A few print from internal memory, but you need to transfer the files to the memory first, so find out what connection you need to use to transfer the photos. Most common, nowadays, in new models is Bluetooth connectivity for printing from a smartphone, tablet, or other Bluetooth-enabled device.
The connectivity options for near-dedicated photo printers are much the same as for standard office printers. Some models offer just a single USB connector. Others add an Ethernet jack for easy sharing on a network. Most now offer Wi-Fi connectivity, as well, and a few offer all three options: USB, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi. Few models at this level offer PictBridge connectors or similar direct-from-device printing choices, because the assumption is that serious photographers will want to print from photo-editing programs on their computers after they’ve tweaked their images.

Prynt Case Iphone Photo Printer
The Prynt Case iPhone Photo Printer is quite different from the other hand-held printers that weve looked at. With this device, you slide your iPhone into the case, allowing you to connect your phone directly to the printer via the lightning connector.
The Prynt app allows you to take photos and then print them out straight away a lot like a traditional Polaroid camera. Of course you can also print images from your iPhones photo library, as well as from your Facebook and Instagram profiles.
It prints attractive 2 x 3 inch borderless photos, but owners have commented that the results can be a bit dark and printing is slow.
Like the other hand-held iPhone photo printers, the Prynt case doesnt require ink cartridges. Youll just need to purchase Prynt ZINK photo paper which costs around $20 for a 40-pack.
A cool feature of the Prynt app is that photos you shoot will be saved with a short video of the few seconds around when you took the picture. When you print the image and then point your iPhone at the print, the Prynt app will unlock the hidden video clip, magically bringing your Prynt photo to life.
When you hand your Prynt photo to a friend, they can use the Prynt app to view the hidden video clip too. This feature is a bit of a gimmick, but its a fun way to share more than just an instant.
